Roof Systems

Two roofing systems.
One uncompromising standard.

Whether it's an architectural shingle roof or a flat commercial system, every roof we build is complete — deck, underlayment, flashing, and ventilation — installed to GAF and Owens Corning spec by our own crews.

Shingle Color Studio

Find the color that fits
your brick and stone.

Architectural shingles come in dozens of blends. These are among the most-requested colors we install across Houston — from crisp near-black to warm, heat-reflecting tones. We bring full-size samples to your home and hold them against your actual elevation for the final call.

  • Black Sable architectural shingle color

Deep near-black for crisp, modern elevations.

  • Storm Cloud architectural shingle color

    Storm Cloud

Cool weathered gray — the Houston default for a reason.

  • Aged Copper architectural shingle color

Warm gray-green that flatters brick and stone.

  • Sedona Canyon architectural shingle color

Blue-gray blend for coastal and modern looks.

Preferred Vendors

We specify the brands we trust on our own homes.

Eighteen years of installs have taught us which manufacturers earn their warranties. GAF anchors our roofing line, with Owens Corning and CertainTeed alongside it, all supplied through ABC Supply — the brands we stand behind on every roof.

Why Bluebonnet

We don’t sell roofs.
We install them.

Eighteen years in Greater Houston, family-owned and owner-operated, the brands we trust installed by our own crews — never subcontracted to storm-chasers.

  1. 01

    We inspect every roof ourselves.

No stock estimates over the phone. Doug or a senior roofer climbs your roof, checks the deck, flashing, and ventilation, and specifies the right system for it.

  2. 02

Our crews are our own — we never subcontract.

The people quoting your roof are the same people tearing it off and building the new one. We do not hand your home to outside storm-chasing crews, at all.

  3. 03

The system matters more than the shingle.

Underlayment, flashing, nailing pattern, and ventilation determine whether a roof lasts eight years or thirty. We install the complete system to manufacturer spec and explain the trade-offs in plain English.

  4. 04

    18+ years of Houston storms.

We know what humidity, hurricanes, and hail do to a roof over a decade — and we build for it. When a repair is smarter than a replacement, we'll tell you.

What Homeowners Say

The kind of work that earns
the next referral.

  • A spring hailstorm chewed up our roof and Doug walked it with the adjuster the same week. He documented every bruised shingle, the claim got approved, and his crew had us in a new GAF roof before the next round of storms.

    Marcus & Lena T.

    Pearland

Full replacement — hail insurance claim

  • We got three bids. Two wanted to tear off and replace. Doug climbed up, showed me it was two flashing details leaking — not the whole roof — and fixed it for a few hundred dollars. That honesty is why he'll get every roof we ever need.

    Priya S.

    Sugar Land

Honest repair — chimney & valley flashing

  • After Hurricane season we had water coming through the ceiling. Bluebonnet tarped it that afternoon and did the full replacement two weeks later. Their own crew, no storm-chasers, and they restored the decking to code where it had rotted.

    Robert & Anna K.

    Houston Heights

    Storm replacement — Timberline HDZ

  • Eighteen years in business shows. The crew was on our roof at 7am, tore off, dried in, and finished a 30-square roof in a single day. Cleanup was spotless — they ran a magnet over the whole yard for stray nails twice.

    Daniel R.

    Missouri City

    One-day tear-off & replacement

  • They did our roof two years ago, so when the siding needed replacing we didn't even call anyone else. Doug detailed the flashing and trim right, the fiber cement looks incredible against our brick, and it was the same crew both times. Worth every penny.

    West University

    Fiber cement siding replacement

  • Doug explained the whole system — the underlayment, the ice-and-water shield in the valleys, the ridge ventilation — instead of just quoting a shingle color. You can tell he cares about the roof lasting, not just closing the sale.

    Evelyn M.

    Bellaire

    Full system replacement + ventilation

  • Our flat commercial roof had been patched by three different guys and still leaked. Bluebonnet found the real problem, re-detailed the drains, and we haven't had a drop since. Professional from the estimate to the final invoice.
